Terms and Conditions

These are the terms and conditions (“Rules”) that apply to the Kick On with Starling Bank Programme (“Programme”) by entering the Programme, each entrant agrees to these Rules and confirms they have read and understood the Gift of Kit Privacy Notice at www.kickonwithstarlingbank.com/privacy-policy

This Programme is run by Kit For Sport Ltd  (trading as Gift of Kit), The Mill, Kingsteignton Road, Newton Abbot, Devon, TQ12 2QA, registered in England and Wales (10425917), on behalf of Starling Bank Limited, registered in England and Wales (No.09092149), 5th Floor London Fruit And Wool Exchange, 1 Duval Square, London, United Kingdom, E1 6PW (Starling Bank).

Entry period: The Programme opens for entry at 12:01 am (UK time) on 29/08/2023 and closes at 11:59 pm (UK time) on 12/09/2023 (“Entry Period”). The Entry Period may extend at the discretion of Gift of Kit or Starling Bank. 

Eligibility:

To participate in the Programme, submissions must be made by an adult (18+). Submissions must be on behalf of an amateur women or girls football team (players aged 6 and over), or school which must meet the following criteria in order to be eligible;

i) The team must be registered or in the process of registering with the relevant nation’s governing body

ii) Teams not yet formed will be expected to provide evidence of their County FA affiliation application.

iii) Teams must be registered to compete in a league affiliated to their home football association for the 23/24 season.

iv) Schools do not need to adhere to terms i,ii and iii.

All genders are invited to apply on behalf of their team, provided their team fits this eligibility criteria. Players within chosen teams that identify as trans or non-binary are eligible for support.

A limit of one (1) entry per team applies to this Programme.

Internet access is required to enter the Programme.

Gift of Kit reserves the right at any time to require proof of eligibility in such form as Gift of Kit reasonably considers necessary.

Not eligible: The following persons are not eligible to enter the Programme: (i) any employee or other individual engaged by either Gift of Kit or Starling Bank or any of its associated companies; (ii) members of the immediate family and/or household (whether related or not) of any of those individuals; and (iii) anyone else professionally involved with the operation or administration of the Programme (iv) Teams who have an existing contractual relationship with a kit manufacturer, kit distributor or sponsor that prohibits them from wearing the kit provided by Starling Bank.

How to enter: To enter the Programme, entrants must complete the following steps during the Entry Period: visit www.kickonwithstarlingbank.com (“Programme Website”) and complete all information specified in the entry form during the Entry Period including providing your email address.

 

Programme Support Package: There are a minimum of one hundred and sixty (160) packages to be distributed through this Programme (“Programme Support Package”) across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. There are three categories of Programme Support Package available and recipients may select their desired category.

 i) Option 1 – 

  • One set of sixteen (16) football kits. Jerseys will have the Starling Bank logo printed on the front. Each jersey will have a squad number printed on the back of the jersey.  
  • One training equipment package containing match footballs, training footballs, bibs, cones, kit bag, ball carrier and coach tracksuit.
  • ‘Introduction to Coaching’ course voucher.
  • 16 sports bras.
 

ii) Option 2 –

  • One set of sixteen (16) football kits. Jerseys will have the Starling Bank logo printed on the front. Each jersey will have a squad number printed on the back of the jersey.  
  • One training equipment package containing match footballs, training footballs, bibs, cones, kit bag, ball carrier and coach tracksuit.
  • 16 sports bras. 
 

iii) Option 3 –

  • ‘Introduction to Coaching’ course voucher.

 

Programme Support Package conditions: The following conditions apply to the Programme Support Package:

The Programme Support Package is non-transferable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable and no cash alternative is available.

Gift of Kit has the discretion to vary or swap a programme support package if appropriate, or if it becomes necessary for reasons beyond GoK’s control. 

Sports bras will be offered to teams aged 11 and over.

Programme Support Package selection: Eligible entries will be split into two categories a) Women’s football teams of players of 18 years old or over b) Teams and schools of players under 18 years old. These two categories will be entered into separate random draws facilitated by a digital random selection tool and administered by Gift of Kit. Distribution of the Programme Support Package will be split evenly across the categories. Gift of Kit reserves the right to delay the selection of recipient teams if reasonably necessary. Programme Support Package recipient notification: The recipient teams will be notified using any of the contact details supplied via the entry form on the Programme Website provided at the time of entry. Recipient teams will be notified within one (1) week following the selection. Gift of Kit will make reasonable efforts to contact the recipient teams, but it is the recipient team’s responsibility to monitor their voicemail and email account, including any junk mail folder, for receipt of the notification.

Claiming the Programme Support Package: The recipient teams must accept their preferred Programme Support Package by confirming their eligibility and acceptance within five (5) working days of the date of the initial notification. The recipient teams must reply via email to helpdesk@giftofkit.com. Failure to confirm acceptance  by the deadline may result in the Programme Support Package being forfeited and the selection of an alternative recipient team. Alternative recipient teams will be selected and notified as set out above and must claim the Programme Support Package within five (5) working days.

Programme Support Package delivery:

To order the Programme Support Package, an email will be sent to the recipient teams’ email address asking them to complete their order via a secure ordering platform. The recipient teams will be required to select the colour and design from a specified range, and to specify the sizes required. All kits are subject to availability. Gift of Kit reserves the right to substitute shirt styles in case of low or unavailable stock. Teams may receive a different style but we will not substitute colours for the outfield kit without the recipient team’s permission. We reserve the right to substitute the colour of the Goalkeeper kit.

Following successful completion of the order, the kit will be distributed within six (6) weeks of the order placement to the address you provided on the Programme Website. Kit distribution may be delayed due to circumstances outside the Gift of Kit or Starling Bank’s control. Gift of Kit will notify the recipient of any delays.

Publicity: If you have consented to sharing your personal information with Starling Bank as part of your application then Gift of Kit may share your application details with Starling Bank so that they may contact you regarding your involvement with the Programme to obtain your feedback and case studies . Please read the privacy policy for further detail.

If you do not wish for Starling Bank to contact you, please contact them at privacy@starlingbank.com and be sure to include your name and contact information. Starling Bank will not post any case studies without your consent.

Liability: Gift of Kit and Starling Bank will not be liable for: (i) any loss that is not caused by Gift of Kit and Starling Bank (or any person acting on their behalf); (ii) any loss caused by any event or circumstance beyond Gift of Kit and Starling Bank’s reasonable control; (iii) any loss of profits or revenue, loss of anticipated savings or loss of goodwill. However, nothing in these Rules limits or excludes any person’s liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or for any matter for which it would be illegal to limit or exclude liability. In particular, consumers have legal rights in relation to products that are faulty or not as described and services which are not performed with reasonable care and skill and these legal rights are in addition to and are not affected in any way by anything contained in these Rules. Further advice about consumer rights is available from any local Citizens’ Advice Bureau (https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/) or local Trading Standards office (https://www.gov.uk/find-local-trading-standards-office).

Interference with the Programme: Any attempt to deliberately damage or undermine the content or legitimate operation of this Programme is prohibited and may be a violation of criminal and/or civil laws and in these circumstances Starling Bank reserves all its rights and remedies.

Cancellation and variation: Gift of Kit reserves the right to vary, suspend or cancel the Programme and/or these Rules if it considers it necessary or appropriate to do so, including if there is any actual or anticipated breach of applicable law or if variation, suspension or cancellation is necessary due to an event outside Gift of Kit and Starling Bank’s reasonable control. In the event of cancellation, the Programme Support Package  may be awarded to a recipient teams drawn from entries received prior to cancellation.

Disqualification: Gift of Kit reserves the right at any time to disqualify entries or entrants (including the recipient teams) that Gift of Kit and regards as being in breach of these Rules, any applicable laws, any terms and conditions referred to in these Rules or the spirit of the Programme.

Disputes: If there is a dispute about the Programme or these Rules, Starling Bank’s decisions are final. If there is a dispute between these Rules and any other document referred to in these Rules, these Rules take precedence to the extent necessary to resolve the conflict.

Law and jurisdiction: The Programme and these Rules are governed by English law, and any disputes arising in connection with them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that residents of Scotland may also bring proceedings in the Scottish courts.

Personal data: Entrants acknowledge that any personal data of entrants processed in connection with this Programme will be processed in accordance with the Privacy Notice at www.kickonwithstarlingbank.com/privacy
